HAPPY FATHER'S DAY~!~!~!

21^st June 2009 is another memorable day FOR ALL the father's in the universe. It is where their children will celebrate this day with them. Sending gifts, cutting cakes or even a small little "HAPPY FATHER'S DAY" wish is enough to make any dad happy.

Talking about fathers, they always give me the image of a very strong man who is the PILLAR of the family. No matter how you lean onto him, he would always be strong for the household.
I guess my dad projects that kind of image to us - their children.

My dad is NOT the kind of tech savvy kind of man who keeps up to the latest technology of updating his laptop with the most recent programs. Nor is he the kind of dad that cuddles you and shows his love every minute. He's the kind of cool dad that hardly talks and feared by his children. Sometimes, he even gives the impression that he doesn't really care about his kids that much.

In fact, he don't even update his laptop virus definition files!!! Without the kids and technician, I guess his laptop is much destroyed. Hee... And to him, handphones are only for calling in & out. >.<".. Admittedly, it's kind of hard sometimes when you want to find a REALLY good reason to change to a cool high-tech phone. Haha... That's how MY dad is...

But behind this image he built for himself, he's actually a caring dad. STRICT but LOVING dad. He totally suprised me by asking about my boyfriend one day. And my mum even told me that he asked her about my relationship with my boyfriend. He's always pampered me in a discreet manner. And he does jokes when he's in the mood. Most of all, he's always treated me as the small little girl 10 years ago. Maybe he should start to grow out of it. It's annoying how he's so stubborn at times. And whenever he uses the line "SERVES WHAT PURPOSE?" when me and my bro wants to go out, me and my bro would definitely relish a punch on.. wherever. LOL!

But, I guess that's what makes my dad unique in his own way. I would take this opportunity to say "THANKS FOR EVERYTHING & YOU'RE ALWAYS MY ONE AND ONLY DAD NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS"! I know that we shouldn't only express our love towards our dad on this special day.. But I am one of those few kids that has difficulty in expressing their own feelings. XD...

My mum and dad are like people from 2 different worlds. While my friends who saw my dad would say that he's fierce, they would totally like my mum and comment that she looks "young" and "friendly".. =.="... She loves it when other people says that we're sisters... (huh?? What the... that makes me old...)

And also, she's the kind of fierce but open-minded mum. Compared to my dad, mum's more to the hot-tempered side. Mum is also more up-to-date with the latest fashion and sometimes technology. It's funny when they argue about something at times. (Because both also don't have the correct point. In other words, both are wrong while me and my bro would be snickering.)

But, me and my bro talks mostly to her as she is a good conversationist(is there this kind of word????). Just that when she gets angry and annoying, that's where me and bro will start to boycott her.

Another opportunity to express myself again.. "HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! ALTHOUGH BOY AND ME ALWAYS DO A LOT OF THINGS TO MAKE YOU ANGRY, DO FORGIVE US. IT'S NOT OUR FAULT AFTER ALL. XD.. AND YOU'RE FOREVER OUR MOTHER."

Oh.. and also to our GRANDMOTHER who's done more than what she should, cooking for us, cleaning us, nagging us non-stop.. Admittedly, you're something like our second mother. WE LOVE YOU FOR ALL YOU'VE DONE FOR US! Hee.. Sorry also for screaming at you at times.

*To all the kids out there, do spend time with your parents and never neglect them. At the end of the day, when everything crumbles down, they're the one that will always stay by your side. Although they might seem GODLIKE at times, they're still human like you and me.

*Happy Parents' Day to all the parents in the world, no matter where you may be.. Rested in peace or still present. Your kids must be missing you somewhere in one corner of the earth.

New Semester in A Whole New Place~~~!!!

My blog is nearing it's death's day again... =.="...
Sorry.. I found out that I've became more devoted to my new degree.
(We shall see when will my fiery determination burn out)
Plus, my internet connection at home had been haywire for 3 weeks plus already.
Something wrong with the LAN (Local Area Connection) network.
And I really don't know what else can I do other than calling and calling Streamyx up to solve the prob.
So there goes day.. after day.. after day... after day.. after day.. TILL NOW!

Anyway, my new semester is quite okay. I noticed that it's different from foundations. Where:

1) Lecturers don't really mind whether you listen to their lectures or not. We're big enough to think.

2) You're really gonna flunk the whole course if you don't pay attention in class.

3) The people there are different from foundations.

(I'm starting to think of it as my problem. My foundation group pepz are really fun and crazy!!! It's sort of my prob that I'm shutting myself from the other pepz. ARGH!!! Lol.. Blame TD15 for being such great pepz...)

4) Students are actually PAYING ATTENTION in class compared to last time during foundations.

I guess that's what I can think of so far. This 3 weeks has not yet been a busy week for me.

I'm just waiting for assignments to pile up. And then that's where things truly starts...

In fact I'm so NOT busy that:

~ We had steamboat in Sunny's place in PV5

~ We had weekly badminton games

~ I managed to catch Terminator Salvation with Chee Kian

~ Chu, Joyce, Pei Wen, Me, Hock Heng, Min Yang and Tok managed to play this eye-power-squeezing game in the library. Trust me, it's really eye-power squeezing.

LOL! Being in this Setapak campus needs a whole new adjustment as there's an OFFICIAL LECTURE HALL!!! No more classrooms during lecture~~~ And also, since I'm commuting by public transport, there's a loooooooooooooong way to walk.

OH!!! And there's a subject this semester that really caught my attention (although now not really anymore coz it's not easy to learn.. Plus, I'm not from chinese background whih makes it all the harder) which is JAPANESE LANGUAGE~~~

And surely, subjects that is a must for Actuarists: Calculus, Probability & Statistics, Discrete Mathematics...

Plus additional: Business Accountings and Programming.

Seriously, Actuarial Science SHOULD NOT be called Actuarial Science anymore. I don't know why is the "Science" there. And it's hard to communicate to other people telling that I'm an Actuarial Science students.

Some will be "Oh.. So, you taking science subjects ar???"

While some... "Huh???"

And I usually find myself just saying "I'm studying counting. Where I will have to count, count, and COUNT in the future. You know, something like accounting. =)"

And that seems to do the trick where they'll just "Oh~~~"...

Both parties also happy. =.="..

I guess that's all I can doodle for the time being.

And honestly, everytime I open the newspaper, all I can see are bad news.

Abused maids.

Child kidnapped.

Robbers attacking eateries.

Haihz... What's to happen in a few years times???

And I'm starting to despise the development happening in Sentul.

Yah.. I know that development is good.

But, I'm going to miss the cows that are gonna be herded to another place...

And the shops lots opposite my previous house...

The silence that is comforting at times...

The country-ish feel of the place...

The old uncles and aunties that watched me grow up...

The sound of kids running around...

The sound of the bicycle of the candy seller late at night...

The times where you don't need to worry even if you're walking alone on the streets...

And so much.. so much more... are now but mere memories...

My new semester is starting soon in 10 more hours. Gosh.. Kind of nervous. =S..

But, I guess I'll just do my best. Thanks to BP for advising. Don't worry.. The chances of me breaking down is kind of low.. for now. XD..

My break this time is kind of fulfilling because I got to meet up with my treasured ones such as Lynn, Simon, BP and Chee Kian.

And unexpectedly, got to meet up with Darling and also Chee Kien last 2 days. Not to mention Stanley who left us after mamak.

I'm really happy and I admit my idea of happiness is kind of simple. Spending time with my treasured ones.

Especially if it involves strong determination to beat the high score of the basketball game in arcades. LOL!!! Yah.. that's what Darling, Chee Kien and me did when we went to the newly opened shopping mall in Setiawangsa. >.<... Luckily you weren't there to watch us. Our stunts are just so unbelievable!!! borrowing balls from the other machine and sitting/kneeling on top of the machine

Not to mention critisizing the place and accidently bumped into someone they knew. LOL!

It's nice just hearing to them talking. It's been so long since I've heard their "melodious" voices. Haha..

I guess it'll be some time again until we meet up. Chee Kien is definitely going places after this. Managed to say super-advanced sorry for not able to celebrate my birthday with me. >.<"""... Anyway, thanks for the lunch~~~ It was really a suprise. You take care of yourself ar!!!

LOL~~~ I'm in love with Baron Chen Chu He all over again.
I'm seriously having some anxiety problems.
Whenever a new semester is going to start or exam or anything big is coming, I'll go and find something drastic to do.
Mostly is re-read all the comics I have.
Or suddenly go online and start downloading all d comics.
This time, I re-watched Fated To Love You!!!
And fell in love with Baron Chen Chu He all over again.
Only this time, the intensity GREW...
I spent almost 4 hours yesterday night reading some information about him.
Haih.. Really looking forward to his new drama series.

And I got to know that he's quite a quiet guy.
And his father is a gangster from a triad gang.. Who passed away last 2 years...
I went to some of the forums and noticed that some people is not really happy with that fact.
Personally, I think that the fact that his father is so does not make any difference as long as Baron doesn't take the same track as his father does.
The plus point is.. He still loves his father. I think because he stepped back into the kitchen of his old house to cook as paying his last respect to his deceased father.
And look at him now.. Kind of successful..

Meeting with buddies~

The 1^st week of my semester holiday was a break-away from the hustle and bustle life in KL to Genting. It was really enjoyable and refreshing~~~ It's another memorable event to me. I hope I'll be able to blog about it.
And my 2^nd week of semester holidays is just as fun. I had 3 days of fun catching up with 3 of my greatest pals including another one of my pal's bf. They are...

I managed to find a temporary 3 days work thanks to BP in AP Corp. Honestly, working in the telemarketing line is frustrating. Let's not talk so much about it. You can read it from BP's blog.



So, on the 2^nd day of work in the Northpoint Offices in Mid Valley, I met up with Lynn & Simon. Hehe... It's really sweet seeing both of them and I admit I miss them LOADS!!!



HOW CAN I NOT MISS THEM?!?!?! ONE IS MY FRIEND OF 6 YEARS AND STILL COUNTING. ANOTHER IS THE GOSSIP QUEEN!!!



The gossip queen here is Simon. Yeap.. He gossips more than Lynn. Fu-yoh!!! I really admire him. I can use some of his skills. Hahax!!! But, he's really nice and funny. He treated us to Nando's~~~ And he spoilt the steel rooster attached to the railings. ==



Lynn & Simon was doing most of the talking and it's real fun hearing to them. About their college lives, friends and lecturers. The not so cheery me was hyped up after listening to them. Lol.. That's how powerful they are. And they said that I was stressed because I was babbling things that doesn't make sense. Lol...



Then, we went to have a pearl milk tea. And to the arcade, seeing Simon playing Initial D, 3 of us racing in Daytona USA. And get cheated by Photohunt. I still think that the Photohunt in MV arcade cheats RM1. We only played for 1 minute. And it's certainly not our skill problem. I spent 15 minutes at the Photohunt in Genting. LOL!!!


Lynn drove me back. Hee... With Simon, we didn't lose our way. XD..

Then, for the 3^rd day of my work, I went to One Hotel near One Utama~~~


Here, I met BP who's working alongside me and managed to get to know Chun Li!!! Her real name sounds similar to Chun Li, so, BP decided to call her that. Haha... Ken & Chun Li was always battling with each other throughout the 9 hours of work. Streetfighters hero marh.. LOL.. My legs are crying because I don't have a formal black heels. So, had to borrow Lynn's black Mary Jane's shoes. IT'S BLOODY 4 INCHES! Yah, I know she warned me, but I really have no other choice. *sob*



Anyway, it was an experience working in this line as the event helper. Got to know so many kind of people. And BP was always taking care of me. As if I'm tofu. Chieh.. Haha.. Yala yala.. I know you're nice and want to care about your friend over here. XD..



And, I got to know about his college life which is not as colourful. I kind of took pity on him, but I'm sure the bloodiness in him will pull him through all of this. GAMBATTE BP!!! I'm sure you can do it~~~ Hee.. We went to a not-so-nearby mamak in KL and started talking again. Haha... I'm gonna miss him again...



And when I'm not working, I went for another Nando's meal by Chee Kian. ><.. I had a fate with the rooster. LOL!!! Went back to my old school. Reminisced while walking up the school. Haha.. Like "A Walk To Remember". Saw back my old teachers. Thinking how time passes by as they've changed physically. And looking at the mirror, thinking the same thing looking at myself. Seeing my old friends, and thinking how they've changed too. Haha.. Suddenly had a crave for ice-cream and got one from the same "pak cik" 2 years ago. Guess some things never change. Hee..



Then, met up with Chee Kian and walked to Nando's. I'm so gonna kill him. I crossed the road halfway and went back to the same point ALL BECAUSE OF HIM!!! I'm lucky to be alive. Lol.. It's because I'm blurry also larrr.. I misunderstood him. But it's easier to put the blame on him. Hehx..



And then, we had the Peri Kick-Starter in Nando's. Made him eat more. You'll see why when you see his size. Similar to that of a bone. The waitress was really nice and sweet. Saw a few MBS Form 6 gals. Talked a bit on that. Talked about his classmates which he really enjoys talking about. I personally think that this guy has cheered up a lot. Although still quite pessimistic.



Then, we went to the Bakery Shop to get some pistachio.. Which I wrongly pronounced as pimpachio to the lady. And she gave me the looks that says "this gal is mad". *sob* Haih... Alas got some almonds. Anyway, I didn't take him to stroll around the garden as I know the way. Have confident in me a bit okay??? Hmff...



Haha.. And that ends my beloved 3^rd week. I really miss them a lot. I was really happy seeing them at last. And catching up on stuffs. Muahaha.. And managed to bully them along the way. Honestly, you should cherish your friends. Thanks a lot to you guys. MuaxXx~~~

Wolverine & Threads

FOUNDATIONS ARE OVER!!!

Happy? Maybe...

Relieved??? No doubt...

Now that's left is wait for my Semester 3 finals result (pray for the best) and wait for degrees to start. Sadly, there's only a short time to rest before degree starts. Surely, will need to find a job. No money no life... LOL!

Anyway, I managed to catch the 2 latest movies:

• X-Men Wolverine Origins
• Threads of Destiny (T.O.D)

I wanted to watch T.O.D, while Chee Kian wanted to watch X-Men.
After a few arguments, we came to a mutual agreement..
I would accompany him to watch X-Men, while he'll accompany me to watch T.O.D.
Fair and square~~~
So, we went to Mid Valley to catch both the movies.
I woke him up at 8 in the morning so that he won't have any excuses to be late.
However, I was the one who arrived late.
And... Got lectured by him. >.<
When we entered the theatre, the whole room was EMPTY!!!
Only the both of us.
So, as usual.. We started to create a ruckus. Haha.. He jumping around. And me shouting around.
I thought noone would be entering the room, so I was shouting something to him and suddenly, a few people came in..
=.=".. Paiseh.. paiseh... And he got a good laugh at me. Zzzz... Smacking him is just not enough. I wanted to snap a picture of how empty the theatre is, but his phone is not up to it. Oh well... Anyway, Thread of Destiny is quite a decent romantic movie. Although I don't really like the ending. Hish.. But, I think it leads to another episode of it. I guess I'll be in it for a second installment.


THREAD OF DESTINY
This japanese movie is based on a hit mobile novel "Akai Ito" written by Mei.
"Akai Ito" refers to the East Asian belief of the red string of fate. Originating from Chinese legend, "the red string of fate" myth states that the gods tie an invisible string around the ankles of men and women who are destined to be soul mates and will one day marry each other.

The plot revolves about the heroin, Mei and hero, Atsushi. When Mei met Atsushi in high school, they both realized that both of them have a lot in common. They found out that they've met each other when they were 8 years old on the 29th February - both of their birthdays. Now, 8 years later, they meet again and they somehow feel that they are fated, in one way or the other. They grew closer and as every story goes, something happens - or rather happened - made them grew apart. They realise, although fate can be sweet, it can be so dark that you don't even want to talk about it.

This story also touches on drug addiction, suicide, possessiveness and domestic violence. I kind of like Mei, although I really feel like shaking her and say "WAKE UP!!! ARE YOU STUPID???" at times. But, I realised that she's doing a big sacrifice on her part and I really salute her for it. Not everyone can do that.
It's not a common taste which is well-liked by everyone, but I think it's nice. Although it can get a little boring at times as there's not much action. So, don't watch it if you expect a lot of action.

X-MEN WOLVERINE: THE ORIGINS

One word: SYIOK!!! Really action-packed and you can barely take your eyes off the screen.
But in my case, I do get my eyes off the screen frequently especially when there's killing and gruesome things. I have a weak heart...LOL!!! Noone's going to believe that.
This movie didn't let their viewers down. yes chee kian, i have to admit that your recommendation is good. *piff* This movie is quite detailed, from how he got his name - Wolverine - to why his memory was lost. I bet a lot of people knows what this movie is all about.. so, let me express my love towards the character. XD


Wolverine a.k.a Logan ~Hugh Jackman~

Main attraction of this movie. Look at his body!!! He's so hot~~~ He's really fierce but also kind and nice. Just the perfect guy. XD

Sabretooth ~Liev Schreiber~
The antagonist of this story. But, he's quite good also. Haha.. Maybe because of his greed, he looks evil to me. My favourite quote from his is "Wake me up when it's over". XD.. Watch this movie to understand it.

Kayla ~Lynn Collins~

Talkative and funny. Can't shut up and quite powerful despite his chatty mouth. In the end, he's REALLY powerful and managed to shup up... Not in a pretty way. He's expert with the swords.

After movies, we went and look for Chee Kian's Eragon: Brisingr. Saw the price that didn't drop and put it again on the shelf. Hahax.. Then, went to get some sweets. Please don't be lazy la Sei Chee Kian!!! LOL!!! Hardworking a bit. Always lazy to get this and that. Alas hafta push him to get it. If not, he won't even get to see the cover of Brisingr or get any of those candies he wanted. Hahax... Kecoh with you again when I have the time yar. Hee..

My dreams...?

Foundations are over.. almost.
Next up waiting for me is my degree.
Without me noticing it, I've been studying for 15 years.. and still counting.
It's a common knowledge that I'm taking up Actuarial Science.
I wonder if I'll get through these 3 years alive.
Not so much of the hardship
Nor the toughness of this subject..
But more to my interest on this subject.
I've been passing my 15 years of studying aimlessly..
Merely for the reason to graduate with a good result so that it'll be easier for me to get access into the colleges I desire.
Primary, secondary and now.. College.
I exclude kindergarten because I'll never complain anything about it.
It's so much fun - The starting of more challenges ahead.
And I'm glad that I took these challenges professionally albeit tormentedly and managed to scrape an average result through all of it.
I admit I've never been a very bright child, neither do I have the desire to compete with my friends to get THE BEST!
Sometimes to the extent of ruining the friendship.
But I do try my hardest to give my best effort in delivering what I'm required to.
Maybe that's the problem.. Doing things without passion and merely to deliver the job.
I've realised this a few years ago and thought that it wouldn't really bother me..
Until now...
Finally, I'm getting tired of doing things impassionately. I WANT TO


Be in a field where I have passion in.
Wake up every morning thinking "YEAY!!! ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL DAY!"
Do whatever I'm doing while whistling, humming and smiling
Put on my real face instead of wearing a mask
Enjoy and able to tell my friends, without hesitation, that I love whatever I'm doing
To see my life without regrets in the future


All of that and MORE!
But, life isn't always so ideal.
Plus, my idea of career is something out of the ordinary???
Moreover, I have my own responsibilities
And parent's expectations to live up to.
Like what he said "Life is not ideal. If it's more ideal.."
If only...
So, I've decided to look on the positive sides of my current choosing
And it's kind of appealing...
Like.. able to get good money
Then maybe, I can pursue my dreams after that.
And to him, I've already tried talking to my parents
And they just gave the same answer...
